The client
As the market leader for hydrogen in the United Kingdom, Wrightbus is driving the transformation of the transport industry toward sustainable mobility. In addition to hydrogen-powered buses, the company also develops and manufactures battery-electric buses. Originally, the company focused on producing conventional single-deck and coach buses for UK transport operators, and later on school buses for the Northern Irish education authorities. In 2020, Wrightbus achieved a technological milestone with the launch of the world’s first hydrogen-powered double-decker bus. To expand its portfolio, Wrightbus launched the brand Rightech in 2025. Under this brand, the company develops and markets battery-electric buses and trucks. The goal is to provide affordable and sustainable electromobility solutions for the UK and European markets. Wrightbus was founded in 1946 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, where its headquarters remain to this day.
The job
With its sustainable vehicle concepts, Wrightbus has established itself as one of the fastest-growing manufacturers in the zero-emission sector. For Wrightbus and the Rightech brand, AD HOC has been responsible since 2024 for strategic positioning and press relations and has supported the market launch in Germany and Europe. The focus was on the launch of the new Rightech brand, which took place in Oxford in January 2025.
