The Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) represents around 700 companies from the public transport, long-distance passenger transport, and rail freight sectors. The association has existed in its current form since 1991 and is regarded as one of the leading advocacy organizations in the field of mobility.
The job
Since the beginning of 2013, we have been producing the official magazine for the Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV). “VDV Das Magazin” provides an editorial platform for companies in public transport as well as passenger rail and rail freight transport. Through feature articles, news, reports, and interviews, it covers all aspects of modern passenger and freight transport—from the state of infrastructure and technical innovations to financing issues. “VDV Das Magazin” is published every two months with a circulation of 5,100 copies. It is aimed at multipliers as well as employees and decision-makers in transport companies, public administration, academia, and politics. In close coordination with the VDV, we are responsible for the magazine’s complete editorial production and design. Since the beginning of 2017, each issue has also been published in a dedicated web edition, enhanced with additional information and multimedia content.
