Federal Council:  Drucksache

Corporate Publishing

The client

The Federal Council is one of the five constitutional bodies of the Federal Republic of Germany. It represents the interests of the federal states and, together with the German Bundestag, forms the legislative branch. The Federal Council has 69 members who are delegated from the 16 state governments to Berlin. The President of the Federal Council is always a head of government, elected for one year – although the order of rotation is predetermined.

The assignment

Drucksache focuses on the term of office of the current President of the Federal Council. It always begins at the start of November. Each issue is published to coincide with German Unity Day. The magazine presents the work of the upper chamber of parliament and explains key political decisions. In addition, the annually published magazine offers a behind-the-scenes look and reports on the Federal Council President’s travels, the history of the institution, or special initiatives such as “Youth in the Federal Council”.
At AD HOC, the entire publication was created from concept development through to print-ready production files. In coordination with the Federal Council, we identified and developed relevant topics, conducted research, and prepared the content. We also handled image sourcing and layout work.
